Results of the VI Agro-industrial exhibition "Kuban Fair 2016".

On October 6-9, the first event organized by the "South Exhibition Company" according to the Krasnodar Region Ministry of Agriculture and Processing Industry order was held at the exhibition and congress complex "Expograd Yug" – the VI Agro-industrial exhibition "Kuban Fair 2016".

                  

The trade exhibition occupied three complex halls with an area of 26 700 square meters. Also, the stage, seats for spectators, themed photo zones, Cossack Kurens serving traditional Kuban dishes were placed in open areas. The total exhibition area was about 33 000 square meters.

This year the "Kuban Fair" received more than 1 000 participants – representatives of small farms (peasant farms and smallholdings) and small enterprises of the Krasnodar region agro-industrial complex.

Spacious pavilions of the ECC "Expograd Yug" comfortably accommodated all the fair participants’ stands organized in 11 clusters by thematic areas.

The opening was attended by the region head Veniamin Kondratyev, the KLA chairman Vladimir Beketov, Deputy Minister of Agriculture Yevgeny Gromyko, acting head of Krasnodar Alexandr Mikheev.

                  

– Kuban makes one of the best agricultural products in Russia, and the country knows it. Russians are ready to buy the Kuban products. This year we have a record harvest, and the authorities’ task is to let the villagers sell it profitably. Today we need to create product elevators and develop the agricultural product marketing through this system. We need to create our own processing capacity. For the farmers, the next step should be making unions; thus, they would become even more economically strong and prosperous. We have wonderful land, and we will be able to solve the tasks set, – the Kuban governor Veniamin Kondratyev said during the fair opening ceremony.

– The "Kuban Fair" is equal to the Moscow "Golden Autumn" exhibition by the level of organization and is even bigger by the number of exhibitors and visitors. The fair status can be higher, at least inter-regional, – Yevgeny Gromyko said.

All 4 days of the exhibition through, the "Kuban Fair" delighted its guests with bright concert program including performances by various ensembles: the Kuban Cossack Choir, vocal and choreographic ensemble "Rodnik", creative unions of "Krinitsa", "Premyera", Krasnodar Philharmonia, "Kazachya Dusha". During municipality presentation, amateur artistes from Belorechensky, Scherbinovsky, Abinsky and nine other districts were able to demonstrate their talents.

For the visitors, an entertainment program was organized: contests, themed photo zones, playgrounds. Master classes with the participation of artisans and craftsmen were held at the exhibition. The fair guests comfortably walked in the spacious aisles between colorfully decorated stands.

In addition to the holiday program, 7 specialized roundtables were held during the period; there, exhibitors discussed many issues of management and marketing.

According to the exhibition results, farmers from all cities and districts of the region sold more than 1 000 tons of products and more than 4 500 folk craft items at the fair. The revenue received amounted to more than 107 million rubles. Within just four days, the fair was visited by almost 85 thousand people.

                  

The "Kuban Fair 2016" was a special event for the city residents and visitors, due to which the buyers could find fresh and tasty products, original souvenirs and touching samples of Kuban culture; traders and craftsmen were able to offer their products to more people and discuss burning issues of their business nurturing and development with colleagues.
