"Young Professionals", the Fifth National Championship of Vocational Careers (Worldskills Russia) took place in Krasnodar in May.

This is by far the most large scale championship in vocational skills among school and college students. The event is aimed at popularization and prestige promotion of vocational careers. The championship was held in the exhibition and congress center Expograd Yug for the second time. According. to the organizers of Worldskills Russia, it is always challenging to find a venue for such a tremendous event as the requirements are very high. However the Krasnodar exhibition center met all the expectations by providing large sites, up-to-date technical capacities, easy transport access and established infrastructure - all of which contributed to the high level of the organization of the championship.

                                  


From the 15ft till the 19th of May the exhibition and congtess center Expograd Yug attracted several tens of thousands of visitors, experts and participants from 22 countties all over the world and 85 regions in Russia. Around 1000 competitors presented exquisite skills in different professional spheres in all five halls including several open grounds.'

         

According to the results of the final competition the team from Krasnodar Region became a bronze prizewinner by winning 6 gold, 9 silver andT bronze medals. The second place was taken by the national team of Tatarstan whereas Moscow team became a leader in number of medals

by winning 22 golds,4 silvers and 6 bronzes.
